My Trip to Sarawak (Part 1)
My Trip to Sarawak (Part 1) was posted on: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 @3:34 PM | 0 love

Note: It's gonna be a really long post! Take your time to read. (:

Yup, this post is about the days I had spent in Sarawak. On the 17th of December, I went to Sarawak with my family to attend my cousin's wedding. And then we came back on the 19th.

Thursday evening -
my dad came home from work and then drive us up to Penang. Our flight was the next day early morning. So we spent a night at Eastin Hotel, near Queensbay Mall. And that place is near to the airport too. Easier for us. The hotel was nice. There was this cute bread house with lots of cookies and christmas cakes. Really cute and beautifully decorated.

After checking in and putting our bags in our room. We went to Queensbay Mall for dinner and of course, shopping! I forgot the restaurant's name.. Haha, nvm. We didn't buy anything, though. Except nail polishes. Elianto was having this premium set sale. Only RM6 for 4 bottles of nail polishes. I just gotta buy this. And so, I bought one set :D I'm waiting for the RM1 nail polish sale, wonder when will it start..

Okay, I was in the hotel room and wanna on the laptop. Unfortunately, the laptop was spoiled. It was running well before that happened and suddenly it just spoiled. The laptop couldn't start up. So much for watching anime in the hotel room..

Friday -
Ate breakfast at the hotel and then to the airport. I slept the whole way to Sarawak. Victoria(the bride-to-be) and Han Hua(my cousin aka the groom-to-be) came to the airport to take us to the hotel. The hotel we stayed in is Hilton Hotel. The wedding was held there too. Victoria checked in our rooms. Next, all of us and some of Victoria's and Han Hua's friends went to eat lunch at this restaurant called Imperial Duck. Really, the duck served there is absolutely delicious. Better than the ones in KL and Ipoh.

We head back to the hotel to rest and waited for the other relatives to arrive from their flight. My family and I had nothing to do so we went to the waterfront for a walk. We honestly did not know that the shops are on the opposite side and there was nothing at the waterfront except boat rides. We thought the shops only open at night. lol. And with that, we walked back to the hotel, feeling kinda disappointed.

At night, we had dinner at 3 Points restaurant. Victoria's parents booked 2 tables for all of us. It was a luscious meal. The best dish was this vegetable where u can only get it in Sarawak and Sabah. Sayur Bidin. It grows in the wild. U cant plant it. This vegetable is really crispy and it was cooked in kerabu style. Very appetizing.

We all enjoyed ourselves. When dinner's finished, it's time to go back to the hotel.

Oh yea, before dinner starts. Everyone was supposed to go to Victoria's house. But one of the van driver was sicked and that's left 1 van only. Fyi, there are 14 people staying at the hotel. At that time, there was a heavy traffic. And some ended up not going to Victoria's house and went to the restaurant instead. Which includes me.. I din get to see the house... D:

wow, this is a long post. I think I have to break it into parts. So this is the end of Part 1. Part 2 is coming soon!~
