Saturday -
My relatives and my family went to Sarawak Cultural Village!

Everyone was given a book of passport, when u reach a station, u get a chop on your passport. I din take a photo of it, sorry. Oh yeah, we were given a sticker too. I stuck it on my shirt.









ok, there are too many picturesssss, my post will be really long. I made a slide show for u all, it's easier for me too.

There were some cultural shows at the theater room. Mostly dancing.


iban - nhajat lesong. he carries a 20 kg mortar with his teeth and dance around, to show the agility of the warrior.


bidayuh - rajang be'uh, a dance performed after the harvest season, they're imitating eagles.

orang ulu - kanjet ngeleput. a dance which portrays the warrior going out hunting

That warrior came down the stage and look for a "victim". lol. he picked a girl and asked her to shoot the balloon on top with his blowpipe. Amazingly, she hit it on her 1st try.

In some houses, there were ppl making cookies and selling them. Kuih bahulu, Kuih cap, tapioca cookies and chips, kueh jala. Oh and since I was there around christmas time, some youngsters came and did some caroling for charity.
