I met 2 of my favourite youtubers! Wong Fu Productions and Kina Grannis. Live in Malaysia. :D I watch every Wong Fu Weekends video. And I love their sense of humour. Any video/short film they produced is awesome.
Kina is just lovely. She's an inspiring singer/songwriter. A guitar and her beautiful voice is enough to make an amazing song. One of my favourite songs of hers is The Goldfish Song. Check her out if u dunno who she is. Her cover of Safe And Sound beats the original anytime.
So ecstatic to meet them~
Wong Fu Productions had 2 sessions. One of them is a mini symposium for filming students, the other is Wong Fu 4 Lyfe. I went for the latter, obviously.
Argh! The lady controlling the crowd was motioning her hands, telling me to get off the stage. Sigh, oh well..
Irfan wanted to have some ice cream, so we went inside Baskin Robins to chill. While he's enjoying his ice cream, I tried to snap some photos of Phil and Wes outside.

I only found out about this event when my friend told me. He was kind enough to wait in line 2 hours earlier than the ticket booth opened, just to help me get my VIP ticket. He also got himself one. There were already 24 ppl before him. wow hardcore fans. o_o
Developed a phobia of running late to any event after attending comic fiesta, I made up my mind to go to lakeside at 12pm. -.- I CANNOT MISS THE MEET AND GREET SESSION AT 4PM!!!!!
Had lunch at some small Jap restaurant behind CPU building. My car was at the mechanic's. Had to carpool Irfan's car. A line was already formed when we arrived. It was only 2 something! Okay, we sat down and joined in the line. There was a wongfu store too. But it will only open at 4pm. And the meet and greet starts at 4pm! I decided to buy the awkward animals after the meet and greet. Man, was I naive to think that they won't be out of stock.. more and more people carrying awkward turtles and waited in line. I couldnt stand it anymore, I was afraid they would be sold out. And so, I went to the store. Had Irfan to keep watch for me when the meet and greet starts while I ran off to buy my stuff. Another line to wait.. Awkward turtle plushies and keychains were sold out already when it was my turn.. Luckily, there are still some left but just toon spencer (guy version). Aww, I want the awkward turtle keychain!!
Oh, T-shirts are sold too, din buy one coz they were the not so nice ones and XXL sizes. Grabbed my toon spencer, ran at full speed to where the meet and greet was.
Because there were so many people, the authorities wouldn't let us take pictures with Phil and Wes. An estimated 500 fans came, I guessed. Just shake hands with them or a hug. Ted couldn't come due to some issues. No Ted. D: At that time, my hands were full from holding spencer and the free poster signed by Wes and Phil. I only got a hug from the both of them. I still remember what Wes said to me. xD
Wes: Oh, you bought spencer, That's the first one I see.Me: Yea, awkward turtles are sold out. Can I take a picture with you?Wes: Sure, but I don't think you can. Cause there are many people..

It was already 6pm and Wong Fu 4 Lyfe starts at 7. Bought some bread for my dinner at 7 Eleven and headed to MPH.
There was this guy in front of us, saw our posters and asked where did we get them. Well, I replied I got it from the meet and greet. You should've seen his face when he knew he missed the meet and greet and couldn't get the posters. Lol. He still got them anyway, seems that there were leftover.
Some performances before the real show starts by local band named 'Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob', Shawn Lee the rapper, Elecoldxhot, and FIX.
Finally, Wes and Phil appeared. Where's Ted? Everyone wondered. They showed us a short video of Ted apologizing for not coming. Ted said he actually did came to KL. Pictures of him at the Batu Caves, Twin Towers and even with Najib popped out. What made these pictures funny is that Ted used a really funny expression of his in every photo.
Phil and Wes begin with sharing their stories on how they started making videos. Back when they were in college, when Youtube does not exist yet. Phil found out that Wes makes really good videos, Ted has the most expensive camera. Phil thought he should be friends with these 2, get some benefit from them. haha evil phil. xD And thus, Wong Fu Productions was born! yay :D
They want to present themselves as producers, more than just making youtube videos. Videos and short films in different themes and genre. Comedy, horror(?), romance, drama and much more.
To make this a special showcase, they presented us the unreleased Ep 3 of 'Home is where the Hans Are'. We only got to watch half of it because it's still in editing process. Lastly, a short Q&A session to end that evening's show.
One person asked Wes is he and Cathey dating. Wes didn't want to answer. "Next question," he said. Haha. Another person asked Phil is he single. He didn't want to answer too. Someone requested both of them to sing a song. Phil sang a few lines of lee hom's song and the WFW theme with all the fans together.
Unfortunately, I din manage to record a video of this awesome moment. But I did captured another one which only the fans are singing the WFW theme song before the show starts. I sang the last sentence wrong. LOL. It's "It's Wong Fu Weekends!", not "It's a Wong Fu Weekend". Gosh, how can I sing the wrong lyrics??

You know, there was a lucky draw for the VIPs to win a chance of having a brunch with Phil and Wes. Luck wasn't with me that night. ): Too many VIPs, by the way. The probability was so tiny..
Phil and Wes promised to come back here. With Ted, of course. :D
Had Mcdonalds at midnight before going home. And something hilarious happened. xD I shall not say it here. Just a question for u guys, which freaks u out the most, you were walking alone in an empty walkway at midnight, and u heard running footsteps behind you coming closer and closer to you, or you were the one chasing that person in that empty walkway figuring it was your friend but found a horrified look on a stranger's face instead? HAHAHA

The Worst Holiday Ever

My 2 weeks of holiday after semester exam is over. College reopens today. Sad. I'm just gonna write a brief summary on how I actually spent my holidays. It wasn't nice.
Okay, I got a sore throat just when my holidays started. Unlucky much?
Then, it just got worse. Fever came, multiple ulcers in my mouth and my gums swelled up. I couldnt eat, drink or even brush my teeth. I had to use a straw to drink water. And all I could eat was porridge, even after putting some oral aid to numb my incredibly painful ulcers. After a few days of gulping down antibiotics and paracetamols, not much effect was taking place. As you can see, it wasnt just some normal sore throat. My dad said it was a herpetic viral fever. He thought I might have this hand-mouth-foot disease but i dun have any rashes on my hands and feet, so, phew.. I cannot imagine infected by that disease..
Took anti-viral drugs to suppress the fever. A week + later, my throat was recovering but my fever was still on and off. My dad started to worry that it might be something else that's causing the fever. I was down in KL to attend my cousin's wedding so my parents took me to SJMC to have a blood test. You have no idea how terrified I was while I was waiting for my blood test results. What if there was something else? What if I had some unknown disease? What if...
My results came out and my blood is normal. There was nothing wrong with me. Lack of water was the reason behind my on/off fever. Yea, I din drink much water since my throat hurt. Anyway, I'm fully recovered now. I swear I will not stress myself too much after that awful sore throat. Plenty of rest and water too.
Some things happened too during my holidays. Emo-ness overwhelmed me. My unbearable sem exam results were enough to crush my perseverance. Plus another saddening news coming in my way — Asako is leaving for St. John's scholarship. This means I will be alone again. There were still more depressing stuff but i dun wanna talk about it here.
Until now, I still dunno what I wanna be and what course I'm gonna pursue. Having trouble writing my testimonial and personal statement. Sigh.
So, my holiday was pretty much ruined. I managed to bake a few batches of chocolate chip cookies before coming back down to KL. Gave some to Asako and I let my classmates tried them too. Some said they were nice. At least that put a smile on my face.
It's 11pm. I think I should head off to bed now. Night.
